Caledonia Police Arrest Man For Having A Gun In The Trunk Of His Car

A 61-year-old Caledonia man was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm at 11:03 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, the man had an argument with his wife and left her at a hair salon. The woman told police the man smokes marijuana, is a felon and drives around with a gun in the trunk of his car. She also told police she had gotten a restraining order against him that hadn’t been served. She told the police she was afraid of him and did not want to go home.

Police went to the couple’s house in the 6000 block of Beech Road where they found the man standing in his driveway. He told police he had locked himself out of the house. Police served the restraining order on the man, issued a traffic citation to him for operating a vehicle after revocation and the man left the residence on foot.

Police arrested the man and took him to the Racine County Jail for having the gun.
