Caledonia Fire Department Investigates Smoke Smell at Olympia Brown

Students now back in class after spending part of the afternoon in the field house.

Caledonia Fire Department personnel were at Olympia Brown Elementary School Wednesday, Sept. 28, investigating a reported smell of smoke. 

Racine Unified School District spokeswoman Stacy Tapp said after people in the school smelled smoke they evacuated children from classrooms and took them into the field house. 

When fire personnel didn't find anything, Tapp said, the students went back to class.
