Barton, who was riding the second motorcycle, told police, “They were just playin’,” and he didn’t have a driver’s license. He told police the first name of the other rider was Kyle and they were coming from his house. Barton’s father came outside of the residence and told police Kyle’s last name.

Police arrested Barton and on the way to the jail that he couldn’t believe his dad threw “Rannow under the bus” when he gave police Kyle’s first name, that he (Barton) never learned from his mistakes and “he hopes he kills someone next time so there is a good reason for going to jail,” according to a report written by Officer Jonathan Friesema.
