CRIME: Thieves Take Two Fish, A Chevy and A GPS Unit

Someone also cut into a window screen during an attempted burglary.

  • Two Koa fish were taken from and two fish died because they were tossed out of a pond sometime before 4:40 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 at a residence in the 5500 block of Gallant Fox. The estimated value of the two fish that were taken is $1,400.
  • A cell phone, potassium pills, cigarettes, coins and music CDs were taken from an unlocked van sometime before 3:54 p.m. Aug. 25 that was parked at a residence in the 5300 Oak Forest Drive. The estimated value of the items is $151.
  • A 1997 Chevrolet Blazer that was parked in the driveway was taken sometime between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25. The estimated value of the truck is $1,300.
  • Two GPS units and a power converter were taken from an unlocked car parked in the driveway of 5700 Dorset Avenue sometime between 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24 and 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25. The estimated value of the items is $300. The owner of the home told police that he heard the sound of car tires squealing at 4:30 a.m.
  • A window screen was cut during a possible burglary attempt sometime between 10:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22 and 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 at an apartment in the 4000 block of North Main Street.
