Do You Recognize These Purse Theft Suspects?

Caledonia police are hoping someone will recognize one or more of the theft suspects in the attached video.

Caledonia police are asking for the public's help identifying the three female theft suspects in the attached video.

Officers were called shortly after 9 a.m. on Aug. 10 for a report of a stolen purse from the office at River Bend Nature Center, 3600 N. Green Bay Road. A woman there told police she was assisting customers with rentals at approximately 8:30 a.m. so she'd stepped away from the office. The door to the office was left open, police say.

When the woman returned, her purse was missing from where she'd placed it, according to police reports. The woman said a number of credit cards, her cell phone and the keys to her automobile were in the purse at the time it was stolen. She canceled her cards and suspended her cell phone service.

Reports from the woman's credit cards indicated use at Citgo, 1720 Douglas Avenue, so police obtained surveillance video (attached) from the date of the fraudulent purchase.

"We're hoping someone can recognize the individuals in the video," CAPD Lt. Gary Larsen said.

If anyone has information about the suspects, they can leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at at (262) 636-9330, via email through the website www.racine.crimestoppersweb.com or by sending a text message to CRIMES (274637) and typing in RACS with your text message. Tips leading to arrest could mean a reward.
