Driver Hospitalized After He Crashes Car Into Telephone Pole

A 20-year-old man crashed his car into a telephone pole and winds up in a ditch. Caledonia Police say the man's injuries are extensive.

A 20-year-old man was taken to Froedtert Hospital by Flight For Life after the car he was driving crashed into a telephone pole and went into a ditch in the 7900 block of Douglas Avenue.

Battalion Chief Jeff Henningfeld said the call came in at 12:18 a.m. Monday morning and Flight for Life was immediately requested because the man had extensive injuries and had to be extricated out of his Camaro. A telepohone pole had been snapped off and the top of the poll was still dangling in the air.

Fifteen minutes after the call came in, rescue personnel with the Caledonis Fire Department had gotten the man out of the car. The identity of the man has not been released.
