4 Robberies Reported Over 2 Hours, Racine Police Say

The Racine Police Department has issued an advisory to the public about several robberies in the area.

Racine police issued an advisory Wednesday morning after four robberies were reported within a two-hour time frame on Tuesday night.

In all of the robberies, which took place from 6:40 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. the suspect approached the victims, sometimes from behind, displayed a knife and demanded money, police said.

  • At 6:40 p.m., a 21-year-old man was robbed in the 2300 block of Kentucky Street while walking on the sidewalk. The suspect is described as a white man, between 5 feet inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, 130 pounds, and was wearing a black-hooded jacket, dark pants, dark bandana and hat.
  • At 8 p.m., a 54-year-old woman was robbed at Rupert Boulevard and Kinzie Avenue while walking her dog. The suspect is described as a white man, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall, 180 pounds, and was wearing a dark hoodie, dark jeans and dark bandana on his face.
  •  At 8 p.m., a 29-year-old man was robbed in the 3300 block of Washington Avenue while walking in alley. The susepct was described as a white man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds, and wearing a brown shirt, black pants and a dark bandana on face.
  • At 8:15 p.m., a 19-year-old man was robbed while walking on the road in the 1100 block of Horlick Drive. The suspect was described as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds and wearing all black.

Racine police are reminding people to walk with others, if possible, and to stay in areas that have frequent vehicle and foot traffic. If you are the victim of a robbery, comply with the offender’s demands and immediately report the incident to the police. Please remain alert for suspicious persons and vehicles and report them to the Racine County Dispatch Department 262-886-2300.
