Gang-Related Vandalism Found on Signs

Caledonia police discover a number of vandalism cases over the past week that are considered related to the Gangster Disciples, a gang in Racine.

Caledonia police are searching for suspects in a string of gang-related vandalism that has happened over the last week.

Someone spraypainted gang signs on the pavilion at Crawford Park sometime between 3:31 a.m. Friday and 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 5000 block of Chester Lane.

"TDR" (To Damn Real), "NFL," "Bang Bang," "GDT," "GDN," "300," "LP" and a Star of David with G D 7 4 were found on the northern edge of the park.

This is the second incident of gang-related graffiti being found at the park. The first time was on Sept. 29.

"TDR" was also found painted on two traffic signs at the dead end of Heidi Drive.

The same type of graffiti was also found on the back of a fence in the 5400 block of North Meadows Drive.

The stop signs on Johnson Avenue at Elizabeth Street were also found spray painted with the letters “GD,” at 1:35 a.m. Sunday. The letters represent the Gangster Disciples, a gang in Racine.

A sign for a curve and two stop signs were vandalized with the gang tags "GD, 74." Officers believe GD74 is a subgroup of the Gangster Disciples.
