A 11-year-old and his 14-year-old brother were with a friend outside of playing with a scooter when they saw Kirkpatrick come up to the store on a black bicycle, then park and walk inside. He came out minutes later and approached the boys and began to ask if he could film them playing with the scooter.

The boys told him no, but then Kirkpatrick asked if they wanted to buy some Coricidin. The boys again said no, so Kirkpatrick told them “it makes you feel all robotic and stuff,” but the boys again declined the offer.

Kirkpatrick then rode off on the bike towards .

At Walgreens a 13-year-old girl and her friend went into the store and when she came out she discovered her purple bicycle was gone and in its place there was a black men’s bike. She rode the bike to where her friend’s mother was and she called police to report the theft.

The boy’s father contacted officers the next day as well to report possible child enticement. When investigators looked at surveillance video footage from Kmart, they allegedly saw Kirkpatrick enter the store, then steal four boxes worth of Coricidin and leave the store and approach the boys. Investigators then went to Walgreens where footage allegedly showed Kirkpatrick walking into the store, talking to a clerk, then going to the medicine area where he stole more Coricidin and left with the girl’s bike.

Kirkpatrick is currently being held in Racine County Jail on $10,000 bond while awaiting trial.
