Man Dies After Crashing His Car Into Tree on Highway K

A Racine County man has died after he went into a ditch and crashed the car he was driving into several pine trees, according to a press release by the Racine County Sheriff's Department.

A 31-year-old Racine County man is dead after he crashed his car into a tree in the 4100 block of Highway K at 9:03 a.m. Saturday.

The man died at the scene of the one-car crash and was the only person in the car. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle, according to a press release by the Racine County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators determined that the man drove his car onto the shoulder of the road and overcorrected, went into a ditch on the south side of the road and crashed into several pine trees.

The investigators are continuing to work on determining the cause of the crash. However, alcohol and drug use did not appear to be a contributing factor in the crash. The man’s name has not been released pending notification of his family.
