A witness told police the man had left the house at 1:15 a.m. saying he was going to buy mouthwash at a nearby store. The woman told police the man had “been acting strange.” She didn’t think the medication he took for his mental illness was working because he said he wanted to go back to jail and “he was sick of being on probation.”

The woman tried to stop the man from leaving the home after he demanded sleeping pills and alcohol from her, but he told the woman if she didn’t get out of the way, he would hurt her. After shoving the woman, the man left the house, according to the report.
