Man Uninjured Following Rollover Car Crash

A Sturtevant man loses control of his car, but his seat belt saved his life.

A 32-year-old Sturtevant man was uninjured after he lost control of his car at 12:17 a.m. Saturday in the 6300 block of State Highway 38, according to a report by the Caledonia Police Department.

The man told police he was driving northbound on Highway 38 when a car was coming at him in his lane. Swerving to avoid hitting the car, he lost control of the car and went into a steep ditch. The car rolled onto its side, but because he was wearing his seatbelt he was uninjured in the crash.

Still, the man was cited for operating a vehicle while revoked – owi related and failing to install an ignition interlock device.
