Missing Man Found After Police Search Area For Hours

Police searched the area for six hours after a man, who has a mental illness, was missing.

A man who has mental illness was found after he had been missing for about six hours when police found him at noon on Sunday near Eagle Point and Three Mile road.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, the 46-year-old Caledonia man lives with family members and his medication had been changed. After looking for several hours, a resident walking their dog in the area told police he had seen the man at about noon walking in the woods north of Three Mile Road. Another person out walking their dog said they had also seen the man out walking and he seemed “pale,” but he didn’t “look distressed.”

Police found the man and they walked back towards Newman Road. The man said he didn’t come back home “because he wanted to be out walking.”
