One Person Injured, But Not Hospitalized In Two-Car Crash

A Franksville man was cited for failing to yield the right of way, but he says his view was obstructed by a parked car on Highway K and Roberts Street.

One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened at 4:52 p.m. Thursday on Highway K at Roberts Street.

While rescue personnel from the responded to the crash, no one was transported to the hospital.

According to a report by the , Donald Hintz, 47, of Franksville, was driving his 2003 Sierra truck northbound on Roberts St. when he stopped at a stop sign and traveled through the intersection. A 38-year-old Franklin woman was driving a 2009 Hyundai Sonata westbound on Highway K when she crashed into Hintz’s truck, which rolled and struck a utility pole.

Hintz, who was cited for failing to yield the right of way, told police he wasn’t able to see the woman coming because a car was parked too close to the intersection.
