Police Blotter: Baby Formula, Jewelry and Copper Wire Taken

No Time For Thieves

A wristwatch, pocket watch and diamond ring were taken sometime over the past year from a home in the 9000 block of Seven Mile Road.

The homeowner told police he believes that someone who knows him must have taken the jewelry. He doesn’t want to prosecute, but only wanted the items returned. The estimated value of the jewelry is $3,800.

Baby Formula Taken From Pick'N Save 

Over $300 in baby formula was taken at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 1 from Pick’n Save, 5111 Douglas Ave.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, police watched surveillance video where they saw two female suspects, women were in their late 20s to early 30s, one was wearing a dark jacked and light blue pants and the second suspect was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans.

Both carried a diaper bag and one had a child with her.

Copper Wire Missing From We Energies Substation

About $1,000 in copper wire was discovered missing at 11:45 a.m. Monday from the We Energies substation, 7815 Northwestern Ave.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, a fence was cut and the wire was taken off of a wooden and steel electric pole. Police suspect that the theft occurred sometime over the weekend at night.
