Police Blotter: Don't Tick Off That Donkey, And Pills Taken From Car

A wayward donkey lands his owner in a bit of hot water, a thief does a smash and grab, and a man crashes his car into a tree.

A donkey created quite the traffic hazard at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday on Six Mile Road after it broke through a wooden fence. According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, several cars were stopped on the road to avoid hitting the donkey. Once police arrived, they found the owner of the donkey and he was taken back to the farm. Police cited the man for having an animal at large.

A 36-year-old Two Rivers man had a seizure just before it went into the ditch and crashed into a tree at 7:04 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 38 at Dunkelow Road. Rescue workers from the Caledonia Fire Department extricated the man from the 2010 Honda Accord he was driving. He was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment.

A passenger’s side window was smashed on a car and package of medicine was taken sometime between 3 and 3:24 p.m. Nov. 12 in the 4900 block of Six Mile Road.
