Police Blotter: Woman Cited For Disorderly Conduct And Trespassing

Police say 41-year-old Caledonia woman, who was drunk, was angry over treatment of neighbor's dog.

A 41-year-old Caledonia woman was cited for disorderly conduct and trespassing after having an alleged verbal altercation with her neighbor on Monday afternoon.

According to Caledonia police, Darlene Peters, who lives in the 2800 block of Indian Trail, entered a neighbor's fenced yard and began filling the dog dish with water from the neighbor's hose. The homeowner came out and asked Peters what she was doing, the report said.

Peters started swearing at her neighbor, telling her that she does not properly take care of her dog. When the neighbor's husband came home, Peters threatened him, police said.

"Peters then yelled out she had a gun and was not afraid to use it," the report said.

Police found Peters in front of her residence when they arrived. She was drunk, according to police. They also noticed several neighbor gathered outside because of the yelling.

The officer wrote Peters tickets and told her to go into her home and sober up.
