UPDATE: Police Search For Boy Who Assaulted His Sister

A neighbor had to pull the boy off her.

UPDATE: The Racine County District Attorney's Office filed a warrant and a criminal complaint against Haithem Assad, 17, of Caledonia today. Assad was charged with a felony count of physical abuse to a child, a misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property, and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. If Hassad is found guilty of all charges, he faces up to six and a half years in prison and fines up to $10,200.

Police are looking for a 17-year-old boy, who was angry with his mother for not giving him the keys to the family car, at 3:54 p.m. Saturday.

He allegedly smashed out the window and assaulted his 13-year-old sister by choking her, hitting her in the head, pulling her hair and punching her in the face at their residence in the 5300 block of Charles St., according to a report by the Caledonia Police. The boy fled the area and was last seen in a white Chevrolet truck.
