Racine Man Crashes Into A Sign And Bushes Near Nursing Home

Eriberto Malacara Jr., 45, of Racine, was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving, failing to keep his vehicle under control and having a prohibited blood-alcohol content on Three Mile Road and North Green Bay Road.

A man, who is suspected of drunk driving, crashed the car he was driving into the bushes at at 2:04 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012.

Eriberto Malacara Jr., 45, of Racine, was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving, failing to keep his vehicle under control and having a prohibited blood-alcohol content on Three Mile Road and North Green Bay Road.

According to a report by the an officer was parked nearby when Malacara, who was driving his 1999 Mitsubishi at about 50 mph, squealed his tires just prior to the car leaving the road and crashing into the bushes about 30 feet off the roadway.

The officer noted that Malacara appeared confused, but he didn’t appear injured and told the officer he was “just really drunk.” Fumbling for his identification, Malacara told the officer he had just come from a bar and had “too much” to drink. A Breathalyzer Test showed that Malacara’s blood-alcohol was .21, over 2.5 times the legal limit.
