Standoff Involving Suicidal Man Ends Peacefully

SWAT Team, Cudahy Police and Racine County Sheriff's Department surround a Caledonia home for three hours.

A standoff in Caledonia involving a Cudahy man with a gun ended in the 3400 block of Six Mile Road at a family member’s home Saturday night. The man, who evaded police in Cudahy and Oak Creek, surrendered after three hours in Caledonia, according to a statement sent out by the Cudahy Police Department.

The man was reportedly picked up from Oak Creek and Cudahy police tracked the man to Caledonia by his cell phone after he was picked up by someone in a vehicle.

The name of the man has not been released. An official with the Cudahy Police Department said the man has not been charged criminally, but that is something they are working on. Police took the man, who was suicidal, to the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex
