UPDATE: Suspects Sought In Caledonia Robbery Are The Same Suspects In Mt. Pleasant Theft

The two men took bottles of liquor from the Pick'n Save in Caledonia and are believed to have also taken liquor from a Mt. Pleasant grocery store.

Update: The Caledonia Police Department has released still shots of the two robbery suspects.

Original story: Caledonia Police are searching for two suspects in a robbery that happened at , 5111 Douglas Ave. at 1:33 p.m. Nov. 13.

They also belive the two men also took bottles of liquor from a Piggly Wiggly store in Mt. Pleasant.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, the two men are suspected of taking three liter bottles of Bombay Gin, hiding it under the clothes and leaving the store. When confronted by an employee, one of the suspects kept walking, but the other man said he didn’t have anything hidden under his coat. The employee heard the sound of two bottles clanging together.

The suspect handed the bottles back to the employee, and said he was leaving the store. The employee then grabbed the suspect and “took him down to the ground.” The suspect tried hitting the employee in the face, then ran off into the parking lot and left with the second suspect in a green Honda Civic with a temporary license plate of G5141H in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot 9-inches tall, 150 pounds, and is in his late 30s. He didn’t have facial hair, scars or glasses. The man was last seen wearing a black coat, black jeans and black t-shirt.

The second suspect is described as a black male, shorter than 5-foot 9-inches tall, heavy set, and is over 200 pounds. He is bald, possibly has a moustache, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jeans and striped sweater.

The two men also match the description of the men who stole two bottles of vodka from the Piggly Wiggly, 5201 Washington Ave., at 8:26 p.m. Oct. 26. The description of the vehicle and temporary license plate also matches between the two incidents.
