Suspicious Man Turns Out To Be A 'Mr. Mom"

Two teens thought this Caledonia man seemed a little suspicious, but investigators discovered otherwise.

A report of a suspicious man sitting in a vehicle near Gifford Elementary was determined to be unfounded on Tuesday, May 10.

The story was reported in several local news agencies. But officials with the Caledonia Police Department reported the suspicious man turned out to be a parent who was waiting in his car on the corner of Fenceline Road and Northwestern Avenue for his kids to get out of school at Gifford Elementary.

Investigator Lesa Seils confirmed the man’s identity with the school. A nurse at the school told police the man is a “Mr. Mom,” who they have never had any problems with. When Seils spoke with the man, he told her he waits on the side street because of the traffic.
