The Girl May Have Left The Party, But The Party Followed

Caledonia girl crashed her car into a parked car.

A girl was cited for underage drinking after she crashed her car into a parked car at 2:53 a.m. Sunday, June 26 in the 5400 block of Charles St.

The 17-year-old Caledonia girl was arrested for violating absolute sobriety, possession of open intoxicants, inattentive driving and operating left of center.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, four cans of cold beer were found in the car along with food from McDonalds. Officers reported that they believed the girl was eating and had been intoxicated at the time when she crashed the car. She failed field sobriety test and was taken to get a legal blood draw.

Police allowed the girl’s mother to take her home.
