UPDATE: Three Men Charged For Alleged Home Invasion And Beating

The men allegedly forced a man to swallow Xanax.

UPDATE: The jury trial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in Racine County Felony Court Judge Eugene Gasiorkiewicz's courtroom.

OLDER STORY: Three Caledonia men were charged with felonies by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office Thursday, August 11.

Jon R Kressig, 22, Christopher A. Weber, 18, James M. Gemmell, 21, have each been charged with felony counts of burglary-party to a crime and substantial battery-party to a crime.

If convicted of both crimes, each man faces up to 16 years in prison and/or could pay fines up to $35,000.

According to the criminal complaint, four men allegedly kicked in a door to a man’s apartment in the 1400 block of Washington Avenue. The man told police they forced him to swallow what he believes was Xanax, then start to punch, kick, and stomp on him until he was unconscious. The man suffered a broken nose.

The fourth man has not been indentified.

Kressig and Weber are being held on a $10,000 bond. Gemmel is being held on $5,000 cash bond,

Preliminary hearing has been set for 8:30 a.m. August 18.
