Police received a loud noise complaint at 1:36 a.m. Saturday morning coming from an apartment at 3306 4 Mile Rd., according to a report by the Caledonia Police Department.

Police asked Sawin to turn the music down and she did. However, because the police had received other loud noise complaints from Sawin’s apartment, they issued her a citation for loud noise.

About a half-hour later, police were called to the apartment again when the neighbor reported hearing two gunshots. According to the report, a tenant in the apartment told police that after they left, Sawin started yelling at the couple and banging things around her apartment. They heard Sawin go outside. The tenant and his girlfriend were in bed when they heard the first gunshot. The couple was standing between a bedroom and their living room when a bullet went through the wall, about 13 feet away from where they were standing.

When police arrived the second time, they found Sawin with a dog outside in a nearby field. She denied shooting off a gun, but did say she was angry that she got a ticket. Police asked who did shoot off the gun and she told them she has had trouble with the Outlaw Motorcycle gang in the past and perhaps they did it.

Police found a .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol sitting outside on a trailer and a .380 round in the tenant’s living room on an entertainment center. After getting a search warrant for her apartment, police discovered a marijuana plant growing in an aquarium, scales, marijuana pipes, and dried marijuana.

Sawin was taken to the Racine County Jail.
