At 12:24 a.m. Friday, Racine Police officers were called to an apartment in the 500 block of 3 Mile Road for an assault in progress. When they arrived, a 33-year-old man said Harris is his sister and she had just stabbed him with a knife.

Officers found a laceration by the man’s right knee. Harris was still inside the apartment and she was then arrested.

Their mother was also in the apartment and she told police she was awoken by the two arguing and when she went out into the living room she found Harris sitting on the couch and very agitated. The mother asked what happened and Harris responded “I was playing with him with the knife.”

Officers searched the apartment and were unable to find the knife. While waiting for a squad car to take her to jail, Harris told an officer she has seizures that cause her to forget things and she had one just before the fight with her brother.

Harris is currently being held in Racine County Jail on $750 bond while awaiting trial.
