Blaring Horn Fails to Bring Homeowners Back From Milwaukee
Police said the suspect smelled of alcohol when she was arrested sitting in her car, but she contended she wasn't driving anywhere. She picked up charges anyway, after police say she tried to force her way into her ex's house.
A West Allis woman is facing charges after police say she tried to force her way into her ex-boyfriend’s Caledonia home while he was out for the night.
Jennifer L. Marshall, 41, was charged in Racine County Circuit Court Friday with one count of disorderly conduct, three counts of bail jumping and one count of criminal damage to property. If convicted, she faces up to three years in prison and $41,000 in fines.

At 2:22 a.m. Thursday, Caledonia police officers were called to the 200 block of 4 Mile Road after someone reported seeing a suspicious person trying to enter a home. When officers arrived, they found a Chrysler PT Cruiser driving back and forth in the driveway with its lights on and the driver blaring the horn.
An officer pulled his squad behind the car and it immediately stopped and the lights were turned off.

Marshall was in the driver’s seat and initially refused to open the window or door, but once she did, the officer noticed the strong smell of alcohol and that Marshall had slurred speech. Marshall told the officer she hadn’t done anything wrong, her keys were not in the ignition, she had no intentions to drive anywhere and this was her ex-boyfriend’s house, according to the complaint.
The officer found a front screen door to the house wide open and unable to close, the screen on the back door ripped out and a window pane on a basement window was broken. A television was on inside the home, but officers were unable to contact anyone inside.
An officer repeatedly asked Marshall to perform field sobriety tests, but she would answer that she was on private property, not a roadway. Eventually she was arrested and taken in for a blood test where she created a disturbance, according to the complaint.
The owner of the house was contacted later that morning and he told officers he had been in Milwaukee visiting friends when the incident occurred. He said he always leaves the TV on before he goes out and asked Marshall be charged.
She’s currently being held in Racine County Jail on $750 bond while awaiting trial.
