Woman Falls Out of Daughter's Vehicle While the Two Fought

The following information was supplied by the Caledonia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Caledonia woman and her mother went out drinking together, but ended up brawling.

At one point during the fight, Bonnie Rose, 47, of Green Bay, fell out of the 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe that her daughter, Aleasha Franco, 26, of Caledonia, was driving at approximately 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 in the 4300 block of Kennedy Drive.

According a Caledonia Police Department report, Rose had a bruised lip and wrist, and her hair fell out after Franco allegedly pulled it during the fight. Franco had a black eye, a bump on her forehead and a scratch on her chin. Rose was taken to the hospital, but Franco refused medical treatment.

Officers sought charges from the Racine County District Attorney’s Office against the two for disorderly conduct and battery. However, only Rose was charged on Feb. 20, 2012.

The two got into the fight while Franco was driving Rose home from a bar after they had been drinking, according to the report.

Rose told police she got upset with Franco at the bar when Franco left to talk to a man outside the bar, but Franco told police she had a hard time getting Rose to leave the bar and her mother caused “a disturbance in the bar” before the two left. Police noted that Franco did not appear intoxicated, according to the report.

During an interview with police, Rose said she and Franco had been out drinking alcohol at a local bar when the two had gotten into a fight. Franco told police she only had one drink, according the police report.

Rose told police that Franco allegedly hit her in the face while she was driving and the two physically fought in vehicle. Franco told police Rose punched her in the face in the vehicle and she had a difficult time trying to keep the vehicle under control. The two continued arguing and Franco pulled over on Three Mile Road, just west of Highway 32. Rose opened the door and Franco “jerked the car, causing Bonnie to fall out of the vehicle,” according to the report.

Rose got back into the Tahoe and Franco started driving. Rose told police she started hitting Franco and Franco struck Rose with her fist. All the way home the two physically fought, and pulled each other’s hair out.

When they got to Franco’s apartment on Kennedy Drive, Rose locked herself in the truck and called her boyfriend. While waiting for him, Rose told police that Franco unlocked the car and started hitting Rose again, but Franco told police that she was just trying to turn off the lights on the vehicle when Rose started pulling her hair. The two then fought outside the vehicle for about five minutes.

When the police arrived on scene, Rose had fled the area after her boyfriend picked her up in his truck. Police stopped the two on Four Mile Road at Memco Lane.

Rose was taken into custody. She is being held at the Racine County Jail for a warrant out of Brown County. She also has a status hearing at 8:30 am March 26, 2012, in Racine County Circuit Judge John Jude’s courtroom.
