Wrong Number? Couple Receives Text Threat from Stuffed Duck

Woman receives death threat from a stuffed duck in Iowa.

We've heard of attack dogs, but attack ducks? That's a new one.

Caledonia police were notified May 19 that a woman received a threatening text message.

One message said, “My duck will kill you,” and came with a photo of stuffed duck. Another message, “Want to see,” was sent shortly thereafter.

The woman’s husband texted back, telling the sender to stop sending the texts, but the woman advised him to not respond further.

Officers attempted to reach someone at the phone number where the texts originated – in Iowa – but were only able to leave a message advising whomever was responsible that police were “looking into a disorderly conduct by phone complaint.”
