4-Mile Bridge Steel Set, Will Open by 4th of July

Construction continues on the 4-Mile Road overpass and is on schedule to complete by the 4th of July holiday.

Good news! The 4-Mile Road overpass project continues to go according to plan.

All structural steel for the bridge is in place and all bolts and plates have been installed. Welding begins next week, weather permitting.

A Wisconsin Register Professional Engineer made a plan prior to placement of the structural steel to prevent over-loading the Liebherr Crane and potential accident.

Caledonia Village Engineer Mike Hayek reports,"Everything was well-planned and was executed perfectly."

Dennis Gehrke--my first morning LOL! Maybe we need an online Onion. Hope there's going to be a big party at that bridge on the 4th--champagne bottles and and all

The whole tone of this report is interesting - this is what could have gone wrong, but didn't. Not very confidence inspiring.
