Wanggaard Ahead of Cramer for Village Board Primary

Incumbent Trustee Kevin Wanggaard garnered nearly three times the number of votes of challenger Maureen Cramer. Both will appear on the April ballot.

Caledonia incumbent Trustee Kevin Wanggaard and challenger Maureen Cramer will face off during the April general election for Village Board Seat #3.

With almost 60 percent of the vote, or 1,482, Wanggaard came out ahead, while Cramer earned 22.6 percent or 537. 

Jim Tiderman dropped out of the race Feb. 13, though his name still appeared on the ballot. He managed to grab 183 votes.

About 15 percent of 17,390 registered voters in the village turned out for the primary.

Caledonia residents also sided with Justice Pat Roggensack, giving her a decisive lead over Ed Fallone and Vince Megna in the primary race for state Supreme Court. That race has been called; Roggensack and Fallone will face off in the April general election.
