Informational Meeting On Highway 32 Project Set

Got questions and concerns about the Highway 32 project?

A public information meeting about the upcoming reconstruction of WIS 32 from about 1,000 feet south of 5 Mile Road to ½ mile north of WIS 31 will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Caledonia East Community Center, 6156 Douglas Ave.

The meeting will feature maps and other materials describing the project, which will be on display and Wisconsin Department of Transportation representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis. 

According to the WisDOT, the project will seek to increase the safety and capacity of WIS 32 in the village of .  WisDOT is prepared to achieve these goals by reconstructing the highway with modern safety design standards.  Construction activities are anticipated to start in 2017 or 2018, with right-of-way acquisition taking place between late 2012 and 2014.
