Paul Ryan Will NOT Be Running For President

Even though the GOP keeps asking, his answer is still "no."

Maybe it was wishful thinking on the part of the Weekly Standard, a conservative magazine and website, who reported that Ryan was considering a bid for the 2012 presidential election, but his aide said he won't run.

According to a Journal Sentinel story, "His mind hasn't changed," said Ryan aide Kevin Seifert. "He's not planning to run for president . . . There's nothing new to this."

Apparently the GOP believes Ryan is for the job because they keep dialing him up and asking him.

Here are a few of the comments that were left on the Caledonia Patch Facebook page about the possibility of Ryan running.

Aimee Fortner: This surprises me. I didn't think there was any way he would run before 2016. VP - maybe, but I wouldn't have thought POTUS. I'm not sure I believe this, but I suppose he may be getting heavy pressure to run. I've seen him speak. He doesn't require a teleprompter to articulate his point of view. Unlike some town halls, he actually answered my questions. One thing is certain. If he does run, there better be lots of extra underwear in the WH.

Melanie Urban: I'd vote for him.

Amy Vielie Greenup: Can't wait to see him in 2016 to clean up Obama's mess!
