Red School Bus Tour Pulls Into Racine to Support Statewide Recall Efforts

Hosted by Racine Educator's Association, the Red School Bus Tour was put together to bolster support for statewide recall efforts in light of recent cuts to education and the elimination of most collective bargaining rights for public employees.

A crowd of about 50 people gathered at Monument Square Tuesday for the Red School Bus Tour. The effort supports recalling Gov. Scott Walker and the four Republican state senators targeted, primarily for their cuts to education and the elimination of most collective bargaining rights for public employees.

Speakers included teachers, education assistants, parents, and representatives from Kenosha Unified School District.

Nathaniel Haack said he is a proud graduate of public education and said Walker's cuts to education are the single worst thing he could have done to stimulate Wisconsin's economy.
