Three People Arrested in a Burglary Wednesday

One suspect told police the group had gone to the house to "get some keys."

Three people were arrested in connection with a burglary in the 1100 block of Dundee Dr. at 7:39 a.m. Wednesday.

Police arrested Demarkus Moore, 19, of Racine, for criminal damage to property, Juan Carlos Martinez, 18, of Racine, for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and a 16-year-old Racine girl for being a party to a criminal damage to property. Police also suspect that an 18-year-old Racine man was also involved.

According to a Caledonia Police report, a man called the police after he heard people inside the house while he was taking a shower. Nothing was stolen, but a window screen to the house had been damaged and there were pry marks on the door.

The suspect told police the group went to the house to “get some keys.” However, the man who reported the incident told police the doorbell rang and he saw two people outside, one of them carried a screwdriver. The man said he could hear footsteps in the house, but then saw them leave in a car that was outside of the house.
