Village Board Meets To Take Up Fiscal, Public Works and Spending Items

Board will also consider amending lawn care ordinance during its 7 p.m. meeting.

The Caledonia Village Board meets Tuesday night to deliberate a number of fiscal, public works and spending items along with an amendment to the ordinance dictating lawn care, according to the agenda posted on the village Web site.

The board will consider a request from a resident for the village to replace his garage door damaged by the police department, purchase and installation of bay floor lighting at Station 12 and the fire department pursuing a SAFER grant. 

The Village Board will also consider renewal of for Vulcan Materials, bike route signs 6 and 7 mile roads and an issue involving a shared driveway between and Madison Truck and Equipment.

In addition, board members will consider a rezoning and conditional use permit for J&B Express, a small trucking company, a conditional use permit for a veterinarian clinic and a site review plan to operate a pre-school in the . 

Lastly, the Village Board will consider revising procedures, fees and charges for enforcement of noxious weed and lawn grass length requirements. It will also consider an ordinance amendment that dictates of noxious weed and lawn grass length requirements.

The meeting is at the , 6156 Douglas Ave., at 7 p.m. Public comments from the audience will be allowed soon after the meeting begins.
