Village Board Uses Budget Surplus to Buy More Salt
The Village finished up 2010 in the black and they bought more salt.
The Village of Caledonia finished up their budget with a $216,000 surplus.
And because of the brutal winter, the Village Board will spend more than half of that surplus on salt. So far this year, the Village has used up their entire 2011 budget for salt. So they decided to spend $116,000 to buy more.
