Prairie School All-School Open House

The Prairie School Holds an All-School Open House

         RACINE – The Prairie School, 4050 Lighthouse Drive, will hold its winter Open House on Sunday, January 30 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. for students (Pre-K thru grade 12) and their parents interested in learning more about Prairie.

         Guests will begin their afternoon with a tour of the school’s Johnson Athletic Center. Families will then have an opportunity to see more of the campus via student- or parent-guided tours that will end in the Samuel C. Johnson Upper School. Here they will have an opportunity to meet key administrators and ask questions.

         Information on academic curriculum, financial aid and scholarship awards, extracurricular programs, athletics, integrated use of computer technology in the classroom and the school’s extensive fine/performing arts program will be available.          The Prairie School is an independent, child-centered, day school for children in early/pre-school through high school. Students will benefit from a personalized, college preparatory program, and will contribute by their leadership and varied backgrounds to a school which values individuality, and emphasizes character development. The Prairie School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and the North Central Association (NCA) and holds memberships in the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The Prairie School is an academic community whose doors are open to all students without regard to race, religion, age, sex or national origin and complies with the regulations regarding handicapped students required by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
