Young Aviators Program

Our volunteer group uses aviation as an appetizer to get young people excited about STEM. The Young Aviators program puts 13 to 18 year old kids in the pilot seat through daily simulator and aircraft training. All training is done in a pleasant, informal atmosphere at the EAA Chapter, located at Batten International Airport, in Racine, Wisconsin.Β The program runs for one week, and takes place in August each summer. The program has been running since 2008. During the class week, a student receives 40 hours of classroom study in physics, chemistry and math related to aviation. Mixed in with instruction by flight instructors in FAA certified flight simulators and aircraft.
