'Oceans In Space' Program To Be Held Feb. 21 At Gifford Elementary

Looking for a fun family-friendly event? Check out this "Oceans in Space" program at Gifford Elementary.

“Oceans in Space” will be the free public program at the RUSD planetarium in February. The program will begin promptly at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21 and will be repeated on Tuesday, Feb. 26. The RUSD Planetarium is located in Gifford Elementary School, 8332 Northwestern Ave.

“Oceans in Space” is a journey of exploration that seeks out places where conditions are favorable for life to exist.  This original and thought-provoking program highlights the search for planets outside of our solar system and an understanding of the conditions necessary to form sustain life. The program will conclude with a look at the February evening sky.  Free star maps will be available.

Reservations are necessary and may be made by calling 262-631-7083.  Due to limited seating, reservations cannot be accepted for organizations or groups.  Please park in the east parking lot and enter through the southeast doors.
