Calling All Caledonia Teens For Reality Show

A production company is looking for kids who will be in their junior or senior year next fall.

A reality show may be coming to a Racine high school, and people from the production company are looking for teens to join their cast.

According to their Facebook page, OVO, the production company that made “The World’s Best Prom,” has put out a casting call for students while be a junior or senior at any Racine high school in the 2011-2012 school year.

Many of the staff members of OVO are from Racine and have attended "The World's Best Prom." Their Facebook page says that MTV has expressed an interest in turning the Prom documentary into a reality show called “Racine Teen.”

To audition, teens need to get the permission of their parents and make a short video telling the producers 10 reasons why they would make an interesting cast member. Videos can then be uploaded to Vimeo by going to the following web address and joining the Racine Teen group.

The video needs to include the student’s first name only and should not have any contact information in the video. All videos need a title. After making the video, the producers want notification via email at racineteen@gmail.com.

Information needed in email include:

1. Name, email & phone

2. Video title & date posted

3.  Age, gender & grade for 2011-12 school year

4.  High school

5. Describe your family

6. Boy/girlfriend, single or dating?

7. Describe your friends and fun what you do for fun? 

8. What is your goal after high school? Are there any obstacles?

9. Are you involved with sports? Student Council? Drama? Prom committee? Any other activities?

Students are invited to join the Racine Teen Facebook page to look for updates.

If the show gets produced, then an official will contact the student and will require a parent/guardian approval.
