Racine Unified Investigation Says At Least 85 Teachers Played Hooky

Were 85 Racine Unified teachers sick or did they ditch school to protest a bill in Madison that ultimately restricted their collective bargaining rights?

According to the Racine Journal Times, 85 teachers will have their pay deducted. So far that's the count, but administrators say they are still knee deep in the investigation. Over 400 teachers called off "sick," but the district is trying to discern who played hookie because those who did take the day off owe the district back pay.
