Junior Lighthouse Brigade of Racine Recruitment Night

The Junior Lighthouse Brigade of Racine is holding it's Annual Recruitment Night for new and returning members and their parents or guardians on Thursday, April 19th in the Starbuck Middle School Auditorium from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM.

Junior Lighthouse Brigade is a summer marching band that serves as a feeder program for the Senior Lighthouse Brigade.  There are 3 ways to become involved in Junior Band, the Horn Line (instruments), Battery (drums), and Colorguard (dance and flags).  The Junior band performs in parades around Southeast Wisconsin and the Madison area.  They also have several performances scheduled at events like Relay for Life and local semi-pro football games. While the main emphasis is to learn marching concepts that the students will be able to learn and master when they move up to the Senior band, the number one goal is to meet new friends and have fun!

The Junior Brigade is open to current students in the 6th - 8th grades.  Occasionally, 5th graders may be eligible to join at the recommendation of their elementary school band teacher.  8th graders have the option to join either the Junior or the Senior Band.
