Enrollment is starting soon for many summer camps. Here's a selection of summer camps throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

With the choice and variety of summer camps available in southeastern Wisconsin in 2013, boredom won't be an option.

There are dozens of camp choices for science, reading, sports, music and more. Whether you're looking for an all-around experience or a more focused camp, this list features a few in your town and nearby.

Milwaukee County

Location: Oak Creek
Name: Camp Invention

Location: Greendale
Name: Summer Adventure Club
Type of camp: The Summer Adventure Club is more than a summer day care, it’s an adventure! We offer hands-on activities that will hold your child’s attention, build self-esteem and build confidence. Your child will explore, create, problem-solve, experiment and most importantly, have a great time!
Cost: Registration Fee for Individual, $35; Family, $65; Fee per day $33.
Where: Greendale Middle School Student Activity Center, 6800 Schoolway Drive
When: 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays beginning June 11 through August 31 (exclude July 4).
Deadline for registration: May 21.

Name: Summer Nature Adventure Camps
Type of camp: The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center has over 185 acres of unspoiled nature at its best, located on the shores of Lake Michigan and just 15 minutes from downtown Milwaukee.
Cost: $15 to $205
Where: Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, 1111 E Brown Deer Road
When: There are a variety of camps available from June 10 through Aug. 9.
Deadline for registration: There is no set deadline.
Age range: 4k to 10th grade

Name: I.D.E.A.S. (Investigate, Discover, and Explore Academics, Arts, and Sports)
Type of camp:

Name: Discovery World Teen Workshops & Summer Camps
Type of camp: "10 weeks of unique, exciting, non-stop fun for young scientists, engineers, artists, innovators, and designers"

When: Weeklong camps run from June 17 to Aug. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Racine County

Location: Caledonia
Name: River Bend Nature Center
Type of camp: Weekly themes inspire young adventurers as they learn and play in our 78 acres of ponds, fields, and forest. Weekly sessions give children an opportunity to simply “be a kid” while exploring the marvels of nature and making friends.
Cost: $120 for members, $135 for non-members
Where: River Bend Nature Center, 3600 N. Green Bay Road
When: Weekly camps start June 17 through Aug. 16
Deadline for registration: Until they are full or by the date the camp begins.
Age range:  4 to 13 years old

Location: Mount Pleasant
Name: Racine YMCA, Sealed Air Branch
Type of camp: Activities such as environmental hikes, swimming, arts & crafts, group games, sports, camp songs, and field trips are designed to promote success, confidence and self-esteem, which are fundamentals in all YMCA youth programs.
Cost: Y Members–5 days, $160; General Public-5days, $185; Y Members-3 days, $140; General Public-3 days, $165. Extended hours are available for a flat rate of $50.
Where: Smolenski Park, 438 S Stuart Road
When: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 10 through August 30.
Deadline for registration: All payments are due on Tuesday prior to attendance. Your first week’s payment is due at the time of registration. There's also a $30 registration fee.

Waukesha County

Location: Delafield
Name: Camp St. John's Northwestern
Type of camp: One-week, high-energy camps designed for boys to promote leadership, self-confidence, teamwork and physical endurance. Activities include archery, canoeing, golf, hiking, riflery, sailing, swimming and water sports.
Cost: Varies, from $650 to $999
Where: St. John's Military Academy, 1101 Genesee St.
When: One-week camps from July 7 to Aug. 3
Age range: 11 to 16 (boys only)

Location: Menomonee Falls
Name: Summer Kids INC and Kids INC Jr. 
Type of camp: Recreation based camp. Activities include indoor and outdoor group games; arts and crafts; board games; sports; field trips, socializing and swimming for the older kids. 
Cost: Early Bird rates are between $26 per day for residents and $44 per day for non residents depending on various options. 
Where: Ben Franklin Elementary and North Middle Schools, Menomonee Falls
When: June 17 to Aug. 30. Flexible registration options. Must attend a minimum of eight days per month. 
Age range: 4k through sixth grade

Name: Phantom Lake YMCA Camp
Type of camp: Utilizes Christian principles to provide the opportunity for both children to grow spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially.
