Napping: It's Not Just For The Kids
Napping. Who needs it more? Moms and dads or the kids? What do you do as a stay at home parent when you need a nap?
Woke up today not feeling the best and thinking that a nap may be in order. It seems that the temperature swings in our crazy weather and spending a day at a horse show, has played wrecking ball on my sinuses. Lack of taste and sleep does not work well when you are a stay at home parent. So, I am thinking that a few moments of shut eye will do me well.
But, I am responsible for two adorable yet highly active young preshcoolers. For the most part, they are well behaved but are known to take some risks. Like jumping from couch to couch, climbing over said couch and a My Littlest Pet Shop character has been known to fly through the air at each others heads in a fit of not sharing rage.
That got me thinking, should I take a nap or force myself into a Mt. Dew zombie-like state to make sure that they are kept under my watchful, yet clouded by lack of sleep, eyes? What do other stay at home dads or moms do for that matter?

I do have an ace up my sleeve though. Bailey, the Labardor, has been known to help out when the girls are getting out of control. She may just be the non-person helper that I need today. That is if she is not laying next to me napping.
