Find out how to get involved.

The Caledonia Historical Society is organizing a 2011 Caledonia Homecoming Celebration and they would love to have some help.

To increase public awareness of the park and the Caledonia Historical Society, the celebration will focus on the creation of the Village. A 1902 Milwaukee Road Depot will be added to the Historic Village, which currently has an 1877 Town Hall. Plans include adding a caboose for the depot, a login cabin home and Native American lodging.

The event will include arts and crafts sales, re-enactor encampments, old machinery displays, Town Hall and Depot tours, food and refreshments (no alcohol), and music.

Linwood Park is a rustic park with no running water available. CHS will provide portable restrooms and bottled water for participants. There is limited electrical service in the park.

Other details will be ironed out as planning progresses.
