The screen printing process includes a woven mesh or a screen that runs through a pre-press process of coating the screen. Upon completion, an image is transposed to the screen until it is set in the screen. The screen is loaded onto the press where the ink is flooded over the set image and transferred onto the substrate with a squeegee. To allow the applied ink to cure, the substrate is cured either by ultra-violet light or air dry. Since setup is a large part of screen printing costs, it is ideal to use this process with higher quantities.
