Woman Arrested For Drunk Driving
She was swerving and then thought she needed to talk on the cell phone.
A woman was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving after she pretended to talk on the cell phone at 4:25 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 in the 4100 block of Douglas Avenue. Allyson Jacobs, 35, of Kenosha, was arrested for operating left of center, drunken driving (second offense), and having loud music, according to a report by the Caledonia Police Department. When police conducted a traffic stop, the woman rolled down the window and held a cell phone to hear and said, “I will call you back, I just got pulled over.” Officer David Rewolinski saw there wasn’t a call displayed. After failing a field sobriety test, Jacobs was taken for a blood draw and taken to the Racine County Fail. She also had a warrant in Racine.
