Redd's Apple Ale This is a "very refreshing" apple ale, Patel said, that tastes less like a traditional hard cider and more like a refreshing malt beverage. Five Liquor License holders failed a compliance check this spring.
The Legislative and Licensing Committee gave a stern talking to business owners and agents who failed compliance check, but approved all five licenses Tuesday, June 14. Earlier this month, the Village Board denied liquor licenses for: Arbee's Liquor Inc., 4606 Douglas Ave., Racine; 7 mile Fredericks Food Mart, 7952 Hwy 41, Caledonia; Rudy's North, 3303 St. Paul St., Franksville; Pilot Travel Center, 13712; Northwestern Ave., Franksville; Sai Mart, 13600 7 Mile Rd., Caledonia. The five businesses failed to ask for proof of age when a person under the age of 21 tried to buy alcohol.

Man says he robbed five stores.
Police have arrested a man who confessed to robbing four gas stations in Racine and and a liquor store in Caledonia. Faheed Babwari, 25, of Racine, robbed Arbee's Liquor store, 4604 Douglas Avenue at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 3, Open Pantry, 3411 Spring St. on Jan. 30, High St. Foods, 704 High St. on Feb. 21, Xpress Food Mart, 2418 Douglas Ave., and Speedway, 2110 S. Greenbay Rd. on Feb. 24. David Malison, an investigator with the Caledonia Police Department, said the man’s family positively identified Babwari in a surveillance video just days after the Arbee’s Liquor robbery. A warrant for the man's arrest is likely, police say.
Despite police efforts to talk with the man, a chief suspect in a robbery case is still at large. Faheed Babwari, 25, of Racine, is suspected of robbing Arbee's Liquor store, 4604 Douglas Avenue at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 3. David Malison, an investigator with the Caledonia Police Department, said the man’s family has positively identified Babwari in a surveillance video of the incident. Police and family members asked for Babwari to come to the police station for an interview for weeks, but he has failed to do so. Malison said he’s asking for a warrant to be issued for Babwari’s arrest. However, at this point one has not been issued. Man allegedly took money from Arbee's Liquor store last night.
Police have released a video of a suspect in a robbery that happened at Arbee's Liquor store, 4604 Douglas Avenue at 6 p.m. Thursday night. According to preliminary reports, the Caledonia Police Department is searching for a man described as either Asian or Indian, having brown shoulder length hair, about 5-foot 11-inches tall, in his 30s and weighing about 200 pounds. The man was last seen wearing a puffy winter coat, a white long-sleeved T-shirt, blue jeans with colored rear pockets and white tennis shoes. Arbee’s Liquor, 4606 Douglas Ave., was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash at about 6 p.m. Thursday night. Caledonia Police are still searching for a suspect.
