Man was fighting with another man when the neighbor asked him to quiet down.
A man was arrested for battery after he allegedly smashed a man’s face with a rock in the 7200 block of Cliffside Drive on Wednesday, May 12. According to a report by the Caledonia Police, Ricky Steil, 21, of Racine, was arrested for disorderly conduct, substantial battery/assault with a dangerous object, criminal damage to property and trespassing at 11:01 p.m. Police were called to the area for a report of three juveniles fighting. While they were looking for the boys, police found a man bleeding from the right side of his face. A woman told police the names of the three people involved in the fight. Caledonia Police are searching for two men suspected of beating and stabbing a man at 3:58 a.m. Friday, April 15 in Cliffside Park. Andres Rodriguez, 20, of St. Paul, Minnesota, was hospitalized at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital where he underwent surgery for a stab wound and head trauma, according to police. Rodriguez said he had trouble sleeping and went for a walk in the park. When he exited the northeast corner of the park by Lamberton Road, two men approached him and started punching and kicking him, according to a press release by the Caledonia police Department. Woman said the fight started when she called him fat. He says the conflict was over hot dogs.
A woman was hospitalized after her husband beat her on the head over 25 times at 1:07 a.m. Saturday, April 9 in the 400 block of Three Mile Road. Her 37-year-old Caledonia husband was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic batter, resisting an officer and criminal damage to property, according to a report by the Caledonia Police Department. Police learned from the woman that the altercation started after she called her husband fat, but the man told police the argument started over some hot dogs.
